Although many children now have English language courses in their grammar and secondary schools, they often don’t have the opportunity to practice their English with Native Speakers with special attention paid to speaking English. Our children’s teachers facilitate a learning atmosphere where each child receives personal attention in their pronunciation and grammar knowledge but also have the opportunity to socialize with their peers. Our teachers provide the students with handouts, books and other engaging activities in class to keep the students speaking in English. Songs, games and listening exercises provide the children with a more well-rounded English speaking course.
We also provide our more advanced students with the opportunity to learn practical and exciting uses for their English. One of our current groups is working on their own English website – with full chat room, answering English grammar questions and other fun activities! Keep checking our website for an update on this new ILC development!
Classes are made up of 4-8 children and are grouped according to their level and age. Our children’s courses range from beginner to intermediate and beyond, from the ages of 6 to 13. We can also assist children in grammar school with English exams for secondary school placement. We recommend our young adult students (ages 14 – 19) to enroll in our regular Callan courses for their secondary school graduation exams.
