In order to get ahead in Hungary, Hungarians need to take language exams to prove their proficiency in a given language. As English is the international business language and is also easy to learn relative to other languages, English language exams are popular and necessary in Hungary.
At ILC Nyelviskola, we offer several opportunities for students to study the knowledge necessary to take and pass any English language exam. First of all, the Callan Method was designed to take a student from beginner to the Cambridge First Certificate level within 2 1/2 years of study. The Cambridge exams are recognized internationally and are the best measurement of general English knowledge. We recommend all of our students to take the Cambridge Preliminary exam (after Callan Method Book 3) and the Cambridge First Certificate – it will assure them a positive future track in their English knowledge.
We also recognize, however, that some students have specific exam needs that do not include the Cambridge exams. One of the most popular exams for English students in Hungary is the Euro Exam offered by the International House. We therefore offer Euro courses every semester at the elementary, intermediate and advanced level. In the year and a half that ILC Nyelviskola has been opened, we have a 90% pass rate for our students who took our Euro exam preparation course and then the Euro B-2 Vantage level exam.
We can also design English language courses for any English language exam, including special University exams or travel industry tour guide exams. All we need is copy of the materials and we will gladly help you pass your specialized exam!
The rules for various institutions in Hungary differ as to which exams will be accepted and which will not. Therefore, any student wishing to enroll in an exam preparation course at ILC Nyelviskola will be expected to know which exam they need for their specific situation. However, we are happy to provide whatever materials needed to enable a passing grade in any exam!
